Intentional Torts

Terry appears in Virginia courts to defend against claims involving fraud, assault and battery, defamation, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. These cases can expose a client to damages not covered by insurance policies and involve an intent which is not present in ordinary negligence and personal injury cases. In defending these claims, Terry focuses her efforts on protecting the client against the exposure of both excess compensatory and punitive damages.
